We know that you rely on us to answer the questions you may have about your pet’s well-being. We appreciate your trust and we take our responsibility to you and your pets, very seriously. Unlike many pet retailers, we don’t train our staff through an online training program. We hold training events several times a month, for all of our staff to attend. At these events our team-members have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn in-depth information from some of the best in the industry. Here is an example of some of our recent and upcoming training events and presenters:

May: Homeopathic and Functional Medicine Practitioner, Julie Anne Lee DCH RCSHom, discussed animal physiology and the benefits of a raw food diet. Presented by Red Dog Blue Kat, Raw Pet Food– May 22, 27 & June 5.

June: Ardavan Mohajery, Holistic Pet Nutritionist & former Veterinarian – presents Omega Alpha Pet Supplements + RC Pets demonstrate proper fitting of life jackets & pack packs – June 17, 18 & 19.

July: Dr. Micah Kohles DVM, Oxbow’s Director of Veterinary Science and Outreach – discusses small animal care and feeding – July 15

The sampling of our training events, shown above, is in addition to regular visits from manufacturers and suppliers who hold on-going, in-store training for our staff.

A visit to your Veterinarian is always the best course of action when you are worried that something may be wrong with your pet, as we do not profess to be a substitute for good veterinary care, but we do want to be your source for trusted advice on the health and happiness ‘for the ones you love’, when appropriate.

Tisol Joins Forces with BC SPCA to Find Homes for Pets

We are pleased to announce our new partnership with the BC SPCA. Homeless cats and kittens in the care of the SPCA are now available for adoption at the new satellite adoption centre hosted at our 3033 Grandview Highway Tisol store in Vancouver.

As always, we are committed to supporting independent rescue groups throughout the Lower Mainland by way of offering our 9 stores as venues to hold fundraising, adoption and educational events. We will also continue to provide direct fundraising support, as well as food from our Pet Food Bank to the many local animal rescue groups under the umbrella of the Kensington Foundation for Animals in Crisis.

Lost & Found Pets

If your pet is lost, or if you have found a pet, you can now send us the pet’s photograph (or a description, if a photo is not available) and we will post it on our facebook page; this way, you can get the word out to our large and caring community of pet lovers.
